Monologue Prep Workshop with Lolly Ward
Why wait and panic right before an audition? Relax and have fun preparing with other actors now.
Perform two monologues and receive immediate feedback, with in-depth coaching on one piece from PATA board member Lolly Ward. Watch and learn as others go through their material and make on-the-spot adjustments. Gain confidence in taking your time and making strong choices. Understand your pieces and feel good about your presentation.
**Please come prepared with:
1.) 2 contrasting contemporary monologues from published plays
2.) 2 pieces of paper with your name at the top, with both monologues typed or written neatly out on each, and marked with play title, author and role
3.) 1 headshot & resume
Class will be held July 18, 2017 from 7:00pm– 9:00pm.

Lolly Ward: PATA board member Lolly Ward spent 15 years acting, auditioning and coaching in Los Angeles before relocating to Portland in 2015. Lolly grew up in Bethesda, MD, moving west to attend Stanford University where she received her Bachelor's and Master's in English and Creative Writing. As a member of The Actors' Gang theater, she took on many roles, winning an LA Weekly Award for "Masha" in The Seagull. After opening Tim Robbins's Embedded in Los Angeles, she toured with it to London and New York, where Robbins directed a film version at the Public Theater. Locally, she co-founded LineStorm Playwrights, conceived and co-produced Portland in Play, worked with Portland Shakespeare Project and appeared on Grimm.
