Monologue Audition Prep 201: Performing your Monologue with Confidence and Truth

Take your audition prep to the next level before general audition season by joining Kristina Haddad for an in-depth coaching session. Break down any fear or uncertainty surrounding monologues in this focused workshop, designed to give you personal attention on your preparation.

Even the most seasoned actors can be intimidated by monologues. The workshop is designed to demystify how to approach monologue material so the actor can feel confident in their preparation and performance. Actors will learn how to breakdown the material in order to guide them to their most truthful, organic, and spontaneous work.

We will use improvisation and other techniques to deep the actor’s connection and will also discuss how to manage performance nerves. All participants should bring one prepared piece to work on and two more to discuss.

At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

    • Identify material that is right for them
    • Learn how to break down audition material and understand the most dynamic ways to approach an audition
    • Use improvisational skills to personalize and deepen their connection to the material
    • Adopt tools that can be used to manage audition nerves
