Lauren Bloom Hanover brings her love of Shakespeare, her 20 years of experience with his plays, as well as a healthy sense of humor, to individualized coaching on one to two Shakespeare monologues of your choice. Prepare for audition season and have fun doing it! Participants will have a deeper understanding of the meaning and nuance of the language and meter of their monologue. They will also establish some specific choices for how they want to present the monologue. Together, these will make the participants feel more connected to the material and more confident in their delivery.

Lauren Bloom Hanover is an actor, educator and producer based in Portland, Oregon. Classically trained in England and at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Lauren’s work has focused on Shakespeare and other canonical writers, both onstage and in the classroom.
Beginning in 2012, Lauren began working in non-profit administration, joining the staff of the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival. In 2013, she moved to Portland Oregon to assume the role of Director of Education and Community Engagement at Profile Theatre. She served as the company’s Associate Artistic Director until the end of 2017. In 2017 she began offering her workshop Shakespeare for Shrews to the Portland theatre community.
