Monologue class at Portland Center Stage

Join Tyler Andrew Jones (tick, tick…BOOM!, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, HAIR) and Nicole Marie Green (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, A Midsummer Night’s Dream) for an 8 week acting intensive with a focus on monologue and solo performance. Whether you are an experienced actor looking to keep your skills sharp, or someone brand new to acting who is looking to gain more confidence in public speaking, this class will provide an excellent foundation for the craft of performance. Working with published text in a small group setting, Tyler and Nicole will lead the 2 hour class with exercises, games, and coaching to enhance the students’ ability to act from a deeply personal and freely imaginative place. Learn to tackle new material, dissect scripts, and perform while we develop the actor’s instrument and build technique.
