Portland Center Stage: Acting III for adults, Toolbox

Join Tyler Andrew Jones (tick, tick…BOOM!, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, HAIR) and Nicole Marie Green (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, A Midsummer Night’s Dream) for an 8-week acting intensive with a focus on acting techniques from multiple disciplines. Explore Anne Bogart’s viewpoints, Meisner’s technique of repetition, Adler’s emotional recall, Laban’s eight efforts, Lecoq’s seven levels of tension, Michael Chekhov’s psychological gestures, among others. Learn to apply these techniques to text of your choosing and build out your actor’s toolbox.
