Summer PATA Gathering at Portland Center Stage: A Celebration of Our Community and the Full Moon!

PATA members old and new came out to the beautiful Portland Center Stage on July 21, to celebrate summer and our vibrant theatre community. 

Actors, playwrights, directors, producers, visual arts people, and tech folks enjoyed delicious food from McMenamins and CostCo.  Gigantic Brewing donated all sorts of sumptuous ales, and Willamette Wines gave us Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, plus a raffle prize of a private wine tour.

Our emcee for the evening, Harrison Butler, Vice President of PATA, welcomed about 100 people and Ann Singer, Membership Chair, announced winners of the door prizes and raffle. All funds raised went to support PATA’s Valentine fund: a way to financially help local theatre people through a difficult time.

Door prizes included tickets and popcorn from Hollywood Theatre and a free cut and style from Cheryl Dienes at Aspen Salon. Raffle prizes were tickets to Project Pabst, The Decemberists, Portland Opera’s Falstaff, and this season’s Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Thanks to all our donors and benefactors!!

We plan more of these free community gatherings so keep a look-out for the next date and come out to party!

Come to Portland Center Stage tonight (Sunday, July 21) 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm for our PATA Summer Gathering.

It’s fun! It’s free! And everyone in the theatre community is welcome.

Wine, beer, sparkling water, food, door prizes, plus rare and wonderful raffle prizes where your donation supports The Valentine Fund; a way to help theatre-makers who need a financial boost during tough times.

Raffle prizes include:
- Private winery tour and tasting at Willamette Winery in Turner Oregon. (Value: $320)
- Two Tickets to Day One (7/27/24) of Project Pabst featuring Billy Idol, Violent Femmes. T-Pain, and more! (Value $270)
- Two tickets to the sold-out The Decemberists show, 6:30 pm, at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale on Saturday 8/3/24. (Value $140)

No RSVP is necessary, but those who do RSVP by 12pm today will get an extra entry for door prizes!

Last chance for actors to register to attend the 2024 Citywide General Auditions!

Actor registration closes Sunday, March 10th at 11:30pm.

Auditions will take place in downtown Portland at The Judy on March 24th & 25th. The option to submit a video is available for actors who can`t attend in-person.
