From social media platforms linked from the Website, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, or YouTube, if you “Like,” “Follow,” or otherwise interact with our page or profile on that platform.

Presenting our Website and its contents to you.
Including your information in our membership directory.
Providing the information, goods, and services you’ve requested or agreed to receive.

The Website allows you to post information publicly to your membership profile. Any information you post may be publicly visible and accessible. If you remove information that you posted, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or if others have copied or saved that information. PATA cannot monitor or control how third parties use information that you post publicly. Please think carefully about what you choose to share publicly.
- How We Share Information
Third Parties Providing Services on Our Behalf. We use third parties, such as Wild Apricot (https://www.wildapricot.com/contact-us), Google Forms (https://www.google.com/forms/about/), and Google Analytics (https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/provision/#/provision), to host the Website, design and operate the Website features, and perform administrative, analytics, payment processing, membership management, advertising, event registration, and communications services. Services these parties provide include processing your payments made through the Website, enabling us to send you email newsletters and marketing materials, and providing information to us about the use of the Website and viewing of our content. We may disclose your personal information to these companies so they can carry out these business purposes on our behalf.
Administrative and Legal Reasons. We may also disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to (y) conform to applicable law or comply with legal process served on us; and (z) protect and defend our rights or property, the Website, its users, or the public.
Business Transfer. PATA uses appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where PATA has given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.
Unfortunately, no transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or information we transmit to you from the Website, and you assume all related risks.
- Other Information
Do Not Track. Some browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that, when turned on, signals to websites and online services that you do not want to be tracked. At this time, the Website does not respond to DNT signals.
Children Under 13. Children under 13 must have a parent or guardian provide information through the Website on their behalf, or must provide written consent of a parent or guardian before providing information through the Website. Personal information provided by or collected from children through the Website will be used and disclosed as described in Sections 4 and 5 above. PATA will only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Parents and guardians of children under 13 may contact us at email@example.com at any time to review personal information we collect from their child, revoke their consent to PATA’s collection of their child’s personal information, or ask us to delete their child’s personal information from our records.
If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided their personal information to us without the consent of a parent or guardian, please contact us and we will delete that information.
- Your Choices; Contact Information
If you choose not to provide personal information, you may be unable to access or use the Website or certain Website features. For example, if you do not provide your name, you will be unable to create an online account. You may access and update the personal information you provided to set up your account at any time through your account.
If you no longer wish to receive membership communications from us, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also stop receiving certain types of email communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link provided in such communications.
