PATA invites you to audition at the Unified Shakespeare & Classical Auditions on Saturday, February 1st, 2025.
Registration will be open until January 31st at 5pm PT.
To register for in-person auditions, follow the instructions below.
If you’re unable to attend in-person and would like to submit a video audition, you can use the link below to submit a virtual audition. Eligibility requirements still apply.
Eligibility Requirements:
To participate in these auditions, actors must have a paid, Individual-level membership in good standing with either PATA or Theatre Puget Sound at time of registration and through the audition date (February 1st, 2025). Unified Shakespeare & Classical Auditions are open to actors age 18 or older.

If you are a TPS member, please email info@portlandtheatre.com with proof of your membership (a screenshot is fine) after registering for a time slot.
Dues from membership are what make it possible for us to organize this and other events/resources. However, if financial hardship is a barrier to auditioning, please email info@portlandtheatre.com to inquire about a scholarship membership.
There is no additional fee to participate in these auditions.
Registration instructions (in-person audition):
- Sign up for a PATA membership or check your account to make sure your membership is active. If you do not have a paid, Individual-level PATA (or TPS) membership, your audition spot may be released and you will be asked to reapply after fixing your membership status.
- RSVP for one of the time slots below.
- Submit your headshot and resume using this form: 2025 Unified Shakespeare Actor Registration Form

If you do not have a Google account and cannot access the registration or virtual submission forms, please email the Office Manager at info@portlandtheatre.com for alternate instructions.
Audition Guidelines:
Auditions must be 2 minutes or less, not including your introduction, and may include up to two classical monologues. At least one monologue must be in verse, and PATA recommends that at least one monologue be from a Shakespeare play. Transitions between pieces are considered part of your 2 minutes.
Unlike previous years, you do not need to bring a physical copy of your headshot and resume for the auditors this year.
