Alabaster

WJNP Inaugural Project & Portland Premier of the play ALABASTER, May 31st- June 8th, 2024 at Shaking the Tree Theater. WJNP is producing more than a Play, but a community healing experiment in the Central Eastside of Portland, OR.

The play begins after a tornado barrels through a town leaving nothing but death and destruction, only June and her pet goats Wheezy and Bib live to tell the tale. After putting herself in isolation for years, June invites Alice, a photographer to come to her farm, who also has some “scars” of her own.

This dark comedy explores healing, trauma, resilience and the restorative power of art.
