Auditions for New Century Players’ staged reading of MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET

This is a non-paying community theatre production.
Auditions are open to all and will consist of readings from the script in small groups.
Headshots and resumes are nice but not required.
Audition dates: November 14 or 15, 2023
Time: from 6:30 to 8:30 PM (Please arrive before 7:30 PM if possible)

Rehearsals are scheduled for December 4 – 7, 2023 at Rose Villa
Performances: December 8 & 9 at 7:30 PM, December 10 at 2 PM

Kris Kringle (60-70, Male): Santa Claus…or is he?
Doris Walker (30-40, Female): personnel manager at Macy’s
Fred Gayley (35-45, Male): attorney, Doris and Susan’s neighbor
Susan Walker (8-10, Female): Doris’ daughter
Shellhammer (40-50, Female): Mrs. Walker’s assistant
Sawyer (40-60, Female): Macy’s vocational guidance counselor
Dr Pierce (35-45, Female): Kris Kringle’s friend and doctor / Foster parent to Dutch girl *
Judge Harper (50-60, Male): judge assigned to Kris’ case
Halloran (50-60, Male): campaign advisor to Judge Harper
Mara (40-50, Male): prosecuting attorney
Finley (25-35, Female): Court Bailiff / Tommy: Mara’s son *
Macy (50-60, Male): owner of Macy’s Dept. Store / Lou: postal worker *
Gimbel (50-60, Male): owner of Gimbel’s Dept. Store / Al: postal worker *
Duncan (25-35, Male): zoo keeper / Drunken Santa hired to be in Macy’s Holiday parade *
