Audition for Clackamas Community College’s spring 2024 production of FIRE SEASON.
A student written piece by the students of Playwriting Winter 2024:
Aidan Colvin, Alyssa Colvin, Carina Cooper, Daniel Edgren, Jessie Jo Guttridge, Miranda James, Michael Meyers and Orion Moss
Directed by Jessica Wallenfels for the CCC Mainstage Spring 2024
Performances May 22-June 2 | Rehearsals April 8-May 22
About the play:
Fire Season is an evening of short pieces united by the theme of fire – both in the sense of the dangerous wildfires which have become tragically predictable throughout North America in late summer, as well as the internal fires that rage within individuals grappling with personal tragedy. Touching on topics ranging from caregiving for Alzheimer’s to recovered memories of sexual assault, Fire Season is a collaboratively written student work. The piece will serve as the springboard for a devising process with an ensemble of actors ready to embody multiple characters, contribute research, and employ music, movement and song toward a multidisciplinary performance searching for hope as we face a massive moment of healing for climate and society.
We are seeking 8-14 people of any age, gender, racial identity, ability, and experience level to form a cohesive ensemble and play a range of characters. Musical / movement ability a plus.
