Auditions for: Geographies: 6 stories of Mario Benedetti adapted for the stage

Auditioning actors for a Staged Reading titled Geographies during the Fertile Ground Festival. Performance dates :Tuesday, April 16th at 7:00 pm and Saturday, April 20th at 2:00 pm, at Portland Playhouse, 602 NE Prescott. We anticipate 3 rehearsals and 1-2 run throughs. Schedule depends on who is cast. No one is being paid in this production. The project will be videoed and all cast members will be given access to the video to download for resumes.
Uruguayan writer Benedetti wrote about exile and the effects of torture on victim, abuser, and the society in general. He was exiled for 12 years. His dark sense of humor and surprising approaches to this material bring out the poignancy and humanity of those affected.Leading Characters
