OAT: THE COMEDY OF ERRORS AUDITIONS

March 9 @ 1:00 pm

Oregon Adventure Theatre (OAT) will be holding in-person auditions for our traveling outdoor summer 2024 show, William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors directed by Eleanor Johnson.
We are looking to narrow down this 22-character play to 9 actors, so this will be a very ensemble-motivated piece. In addition, this show will be presented entirely in the Commedia Dell’Arte Style, meaning every character will be masked in this show.
If you have worked with Commedia masks before, amazing. If you have never worn a commedia or theatrical mask but have always wanted to, fabulous. If you have no idea what we are talking about but you love Shakespeare and adventure, magnificent! If you are willing to be taught, we will give you the skills.
This is a PAID, NON-UNION production, with actors getting paid a stipend of at least $599. We encourage all genders/ethnicities/ages to audition. Actors will also be expected to participate in the load-in and load-out of shows as needed.
