Our Dear Dead Drug Lord

The critically acclaimed play “Our Dear Dead Drug Lord” is set to take the stage at Imago Theater in Portland, presented by Crave Theatre Company from August 11th- 27th. Written by Alexis Scheer and directed by Cambria Herrea, this play is a fierce and darkly comedic exploration of girlhood, addiction, and the lengths we will go to feel alive.

“Our Dear Dead Drug Lord,” tells the story of four teenage girls hoping to summon the spirit of a deceased drug lord and gain power over their own lives. As they perform a makeshift ritual, they are forced to confront their own secrets and desires, leading to a thrilling and unexpected climax.

Since its premiere in 2019, “Our Dear Dead Drug Lord” has garnered critical acclaim, including being named a New York Times Critics’ Pick and winning the 2019 Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding New Script.
