Talk of the Town invites special guests to tell us all about the amazing things they are up to in the City of Roses. These special guests are Portlanders who’re making art, making food, or making a difference! Their stories and lives become inspiration for our hilarious team of improv comedians as they create characters and scenes on the spot that will have you in stitches. Previous guests include folks from Portland Center Stage, Desert Island Studios, Trans Voices Cabaret, Shady Pines Radio, Rose City Rollers, Hey Doc Clinic, Red Sauce Pizza, Portland Playhouse, Girls on the Run, Masala Lab, Cereus PDX, Women with Moxie, Sao Noi and many more!
This month’s guests are Rachael Young and Lizzy Rees!
Lizzy and Rachael met by way of frequenting a local coffee shop (Nora Ephron vibes).
They quickly bonded over their theater backgrounds, and a shared sense of crude and absurd humor which is where they write and improvise from on their monthly show, Not That Late Show.
Not That Late Show is a recurring comedic variety show that happens the last Friday of every month at New Well Studio!! The late night talk show consists of local standup comedians, musical guests, improvised characters and pre filmed commercials. Enjoy a signature cocktail and chili dog!
