Prepare for the PATA Auditions with Chris Harder
In this fun and supportive workshop, you’ll have an opportunity to practice the entire monologue audition process. You’ll receive feedback, adjustments, and tips for making your audition a great experience. Chris will touch on everything from, entering the room and introducing your pieces, transitioning your pieces smoothly, and presenting your pieces on time. Chris can offer feedback and adjustments on individual monologues to help you specify the imaginary circumstances, relationship, objective, obstacle, tactics, environment, emotional prep and “the moment before,” or he can help you with monologue selection, editing and ordering for a strong presentation.

About the instructor:
Chris Harder (AEA/SAG-AFTRA) is a professional actor, director, educator, and coach working in Portland for the past 25 years. He was a former member of Sowelu Theatre and Resident Artist with Artists Rep and is a faculty member of The Actors Conservatory representing TAC at the URTA auditions in Chicago annually. Chris offers ongoing classes, workshops, and coaching at Shaking the Tree and Twilight Theater in Portland. www.chrisharder.com
Class size is limited to 12 participants, with a minimum enrollment of 5. Students will be notified at least 24 hours in advance if class is cancelled due to low enrollment.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of class will receive a full refund. After that period, full or partial refunds will be at the discretion of PATA. For cancellation requests, please email info@portlandtheatre.com. If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms, or have been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID, please do not come to class. We will work with you to provide a refund or class credit if needed.
Please note: in order to qualify for the member discount, you must have a paid, Individual or Company level membership. Up to 3 people per company may attend at the discounted rates, and all must be actively working for the organization which holds the membership.
